The City & County of San Francisco Board of Supervisors and the California State Senate and State Assembly recognizes the contributions of its residents and organizations for community service. On April 27, 2026, Rey Javier, also known by Rey Emmanuel Javier was recognized by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors with a Certificate of Honor for his work and dedication to fair and affordable housing. Rey Javier was also recognized by the California State Assembly on May 24, 2026, with a Certificate of Recognition for his commitment to uplift the underserved communities and expand access to housing resources. Javier has served various local non-profits in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Over the past two decades, Rey Javier dedicated his work to social service in the San Francisco Bay Area, helping the most vulnerable and underserved communities. Rey Javier previously worked for Wells Fargo Bank Consumer Credit marketing as a Senior Project Manager. Rey Javier also served various retail management and human resource positions for Macy’s Federated Stores. Rey Javier currently serves as a real estate housing coordinator for Hamilton Families in San Francisco, California. He oversees rapid rehousing programs, talent acquisition and development. Rey serves as the agency liaison to community housing providers, private landlords and property management firms. Being blessed with many opportunities in the United States, Rey Javier focused the later part of his career to local government and non-profit community service work. Rey Javier previously served the City & County of San Francisco’s Mayor’s Office Of Housing, as a Program Officer. Rey also served the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of S.F., as a Program Manager, overseeing rental and homeownership housing education and have been involved with other non-profit organizations which served the Bay Area, Northern California, as well as nationwide efforts, including being part of the 888-995-HOPE hotline (at CCCSSF) and the Freddie Mac loss mitigation during the foreclosure crisis in 2006-2008. Rey’s work with the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of San Francisco was recognized by the American Banker Association Magazine in 2007. Rey Javier is an advocate for housing solutions, rapid re-housing programs, affordable, fair housing, foreclosure and eviction prevention, as well as community efforts serving the Filipino-American and LGBTQ+ communities in the San Francisco Bay Area region. Rey Javier is a housing advocate and management professional with proven success in the social and community service, program management, senior leadership, affordable housing, leasing and real estate, mortgage, consumer lending and marketing. Javier is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson by the California DRE since 2005. Certified Homebuyer Education Trainer by NeighborWorks America. Certified Credit and Housing Counselor by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. Certified Professional Property Manager by International Real Estate Institute. Recipient of Project Management Certificate from American Management Association. Recipient of certificates from FHA and CalFHA for Lender and Homeownership Programs Training; the National Community Reinvestment Coalition for Fair Lending and U.S. Department of Housing for Fair Housing.
